About

All opinions expressed herein are solely the opinions of Fred Jabre, an occasionally very opinionated SOB who drinks boat loads of caffeinated beverages and is passionate about technology & startups. I’m currently a Django and .NET developer living in the Los Angeles area even though I proudly hail from Boston.

Things I love:

Silver Needle white tea

Startups & Hacker News

Starbucks

Wall-E

Apple

Gmail

Django

Python

C# & Visual Studio (MSFT deserves some credit here. Visual Studio’s a damn fine IDE especially after having tried xcode & eclipse)

Any good startup/marketing/business related book I can get my hands on

Santa Monica

37 Signals

Boston

Ghostbusters 1

Netflix

Soundtracks

Dogs

Things that make me want to punch the wall:

When people in the US say “I’m at University”. Only Brits can say it like that damnit! In the US we say “I’m in college” or “I’m going to X University”..

Facebook (Love/Hate really.. I have an account but I try to refrain from using it as much as possible)

Vista and the way Ballmer runs MSFT.

Non-full screen support for browsers on OS X

Cold wintery nights

Crowds

Ghostbusters 2

Cliques of any kind. Digg is a fine example of this – let me on the front page damnit!

Cold feet

Weak coffee

Bright lights with the exception of sunlight of course

That my body requires sleep and food on a daily basis to stay healthy and alive. Why can’t I just be pure mind!
